2K21 MT was a massive improvement on 19, although not quite as good as the halcyon days of 14-16. It might have been a massive ask to make another quantum jump in quality from 20 to 21 given second gen is coming out. I believe it has some incremental improvements (dribbling is much less cheesy and builds appear more balanced) but it was going to be similar to 2k20 on current gen. The real issue is if there are not a myriad of modifications on next gen, as people will probably 100% vote with their wallets by purchasing all of the other games that will be noticeably better on next gen release. If 2k possess a poor first quarter on your new gen, we might observe some sweeping changes for 2k22 - not exactly a beneficial but its the only power we have.

TL;DR: Present Gen was always likely to be similar. If Next Gen indicates no marked improvement, our ability to vote with our wallets will win us a brighter future. No way. The move from role playing (whether it had been predicated on gameplay or builds) was important. Most assembles now can do a bit of everything which means that the gameplay is naturally better.

I understand you mean mechanisms, however there are numerous factors that add up to better gameplay and this is one of these. I for one enjoyed the iso nature of the match and the more team oriented defense/offense. Intimidator and pogo stick destroyed the match. Pogo definitely. I can complete around intimidators by making them jump - but not when they can jump every second. Even Zion doesnt get back up that quickly.

Is there a way to change who you utilize in the 2kU? The rod is horribly implemented. The simple fact that the sweet spot could be anywhere randomly is idiotic.

This is really not true, the solution is always directly straight down. They do a terrible job of describing this. Not it is not. I took at least 200 shots on best place to buy mt 2k21 yesterday from precisely the exact same place up top. The goal spot changes every time and its random. It is, it's simply sensitive and possibly miscalibrated. The window will appear at a different portion of the meter, which is arbitrary, but where your mark is comparative to the green window will be straight down.
