I mean,RuneScape gold tried and failed. Their numbers spiked pretty much returned to pre-mobile. All it really does after each one the mobile audience leaves is give a means for vets to AFK more content for longer amounts of time, which I guess boosts concurrent gamers, but isn't the type of activity you truly want to see in an MMO. It's an MMO, yet everyone treats it such as an abysmal game. Could be like if everyone playing WoW was not raiding, pvping, and so on, but rather afk in a tavern on a RP world.

Perhaps the new ability in OsRs should be an idle ability like some thing or merchanting. Since it is I never play with either game on cellular since the only logical time to play it's through my job breaks and they don't let you show the current time in RuneScape game on cellular so I'd be at risk of losing an eye on time.RS3 definitely has a larger team than OSRS though. But in the rate at lol could change. OSRS staff is around 40 individuals dedicated to RuneScape now, there are far more people at Jagex involved with it of course.

I believe that it is RS ranked. That won't prevent them from giving up if it is not insanely profitable. I just haven't seen any sign from Jagex that they are eager to spend the effort required to make a successful full sized game. They could not even be bothered to cover another company enough cash to complete making/maintain a very low attempt runescape idle game.

What Warden meant by that remark is that, with our present production affects, delivering that scale of content just isn't something we do feasibly. It's part of what Warden was talking about with regards to reshaping the kind of content we make in this develop-from-home world, with a focus on bringing smaller scale (but still significant ) content more regularly.

I am interested, and not sure how much if anything else you can say about this. How often do you take a look at revitilization of outdated content rather than adding fresh content? There's soooo much dead/stale content given that it is a 20 year-old game, things like innovation definitely did a great deal for that, but I'm curious how older minigames can be incorporated or older quests/areas that haven't received love recently i.e. large parts of Karamja. I do think this could be very interesting; there are loads of things like this that I've personally wanted for a long time now. To mention two:

I'd like to see this with different directors overly - RotS could easily be scaled by spawning 1 less brother per player. These would be pretty modest scale but have a huge impact IMO.

I probably won't get an answer, but I believe one could be perfect for setting future community expectations, especially in light of the current updates OSRS are becoming. Measures will launch on the 27th barring no flaws. I believe someone mentioned work started on it in March of this year. Even with Covid-19, do you feel that the amount of time spent is an adequate representation of just how long this kind of content could take to make, from start to finish? Minus the problems of Covid-19, do you think the quest would OSRS Gold For Sale have been completed faster?
